Event Summary:
In 2019. Ologafe North America. was launched. We were scattered across the United States, and we communicated only by phone. Ladian Bunmi Oloke Kumapayi suggested we meet on a weekend, as most of us have not met in decades after we left school. We all agreed, and Atlanta, Georgia, was chosen to honour Ladian Dupe Familoni Onabanjo, who had been championing the course of Ologafe.
We came on a Friday. August 19, 2019, stayed at the Hilton hotel. In attendance were our hostesses who went over and beyond to make our Reunion unforgettable. They fed us and organized a very unique weekend.
It was 3 days of fun. Friday was meet and greet. Saturday was sightseeing, going to the Coca-Cola Plant. The Aquarium, CNN, and we rounded up by visiting the MLK memorial place.
The night was our Gala night. we dined and danced and it was at this first Reunion that our chapter was born and i was officially chosen to coordinate the affairs of Ologafe North America Other officers chosen were DR Funmi Oluyinka Treasurer. Janet Ajanaku, Secretary.Foluso Taiwo, Assistant Secretary.
We departed Sunday morning after a church service of thanksgiving.
